Shocking News: We did not wake up in the vortex this morning. It happens sometimes, but its feeling more and more gross each time we get knocked out. The lesson we are working on learning currently is that it is okay to be out of the vortex sometimes. Being out makes us realize what it takes to get back in. Being out gives us the opportunity to sift through the contrast and formulate more desires. And that process never ends. The exciting thing about life is figuring out the next thing that is going to get you in the vortex. What fun would life be if we had to keep doing the same things over and over again to get in the vortex. That would get old!

The most important thing to remember is don’t condemn yourself for being out of the vortex. Don’t try to defend it. Don’t try to talk to death the reason why you are out— just do anything you can to get back in! And if you’re feeling lower than usual, be careful not to try to catapult yourself back up to the top. Just choose the next best feeling thought. I am working on developing a list of go-to thoughts that make me feel good. The most comforting one I have right now is just remembering that the only thing I have control over is my mood. I don’t have any control over whatever it is that is making me feel less than perfect. All I have control over is reaching for a better feeling thought. It brings me relief to realize that I don’t have to worry about solving said problem: all I have to do is figure out how to feel good. And that’s the fun part!

We realized on one of our walks the other night that we are way more zealous about talking about the law of attraction than any religious person we have ever met. We talk about it constantly. We are always trying to explain it to ourselves and each other. And we watch Abraham DVDs everyday to make sure we stay in The Vortex as much as possible.

Its like Abraham explained to a woman who claimed she had been ‘applying principles of law of attraction on her wellness journey’. Abraham was amused by that terminology and likened it to applying the law of gravity. “Today I will do my best to not float away from the surface of the Earth,” he jokes. “I will do everything in my power to make sure that when I throw a ball in the air, it comes back down.” “You don’t apply the law of attraction,” Abraham states, “it applies itself to you.”

While we are still trying to understand the intricacies of it, we understand the law of attraction to be a basic law of the universe. If you think about it, Abraham’s teachings are not so different than most other religions. They don’t denounce religion, but rather explain that whatever makes you happy is what is most important. So in a way, yes, this is our religion and we want to thank those who saved us. We are born again!

We meditated first thing after breakfast today, and both us noticed a noticeable difference in our vibration. When I woke up, I could feel I was having some low-end emotions. Why I was feeling those is less important than the fact that I knew I had to raise them. When we are feeling negative emotions, it is easy to just let them overtake us. I’ve been getting better lately, however, at noticing what my dominant vibration is at the moment and taking deliberate steps to raise it if its lower than where I want it to be. In the past, I would tend to wallow in the emotions, but I no longer see that as acceptable. I know that how I am feeling affects my reality, so I am collecting a toolbox of actions I know I can take to raise my vibration.

I suggested to Jessica we do 20 minutes of meditation and she was very enthusiastic. I went into it with the intention of raising my vibration, and it worked. Afterwards, Jessica suggested we do another 20 minutes because the first was so great. I realize as I am writing this that, though I was feeling good about the first set, I didn’t neccesarily go into the second set with the same attitude. Reflecting, I don’t think I wanted to do the second set at all. Or I had apprehensions because I thought it was too long. That attitude affected my intention. I was so strongly intent or knowing that I would keep improving my mood, so the results reflected that intention.

Then we had sex, and I felt better. Don’t be afraid to use any tool in your toolbox if it gets the job done!

Yesterday, after becoming more convinced than ever that we can make anything happen, we manifested the opportunity to tag along to Comfort with our friend Stephen. Comfort is his hometown. I have been wanting to explore the Texas countryside for ages, and we have been talking about going to Comfort with Stephen for a couple months now. As we finished up our lunch at Mellow Mushroom, I remarked that I wanted to take an adventure. To San Antonio, I thought, or somewhere similar. I voiced this desire, but we decided we should wait because we had to make some food— for Stephen. I texted him to see when would be a good time to drop the food off and he replied that he was headed home for the evening and asked us if we would like to join.

We were hesitant at first because we had planned a walk later that evening and had a salad in the fridge we needed to eat. Then we realized, what the hell?! We need to go! We need to act and take advantage of this opportunity that we manifested! After we decided to go, Jessica shared with me that she had been wondering why, if this is all a dream, does she always wake up in the same place? She wanted to go to sleep and wake up somewhere else. And the opportunity presented itself. So we went and had a fantastic time! We both feel like we grew so much in just that short period of time. What a Trip! Thanks Stephen, Thanks Universe.
