I’ve been hearing Abraham say “Practice the feeling,” for months now without fully understanding what they meant. A few weeks ago, I was so fed up with a thought pattern I was on about my body that I said to myself, “What will my thoughts be when I love my body?” I started thinking thoughts like, “oh, i feel strong,” and, “oh, i have been eating a lot of foods that make me feel really good.” And it clicked. I felt good. I understood what it would feel like once I had what I wanted.
When you want something, you want it because you think its going to make you feel better. When you practice the feeling of having it, you decide to feel that feeling before the having of the thing that you think will make you feel better. See, you didn’t need that thing to feel good! Then it has to come, because you are emitting a vibration of having it.
We recorded episode #317 right around the time I had the first ‘connection’.
I thought about it again a few times since, but didn’t practice it much. It’s not easy. I have to focus and I can’t talk or have any distractions. At first, I had to focus through some resistance to get there, but the more I practice, the easier it becomes. I decided to bust it out again last week because I was distraught thinking about how I was going to pay a bill. I didn’t know what to do, but I knew I had to do it vibrationally, not physically. I knew that I had a bunch of gross thoughts I wanted to replace with true ones.
So, I practiced the feeling. I was desperate. I wanted to feel good. I wanted to be free of worrisome thoughts. I practiced relief. I practiced what it would feel like when the situation was resolved. It helps, I think, to already be coming from a place of knowing that everything will work out. Deep down, I believed that the Universe would come to the rescue, so I had only to practice the feeling of an outcome I knew would come.
The next day, I had more than enough to pay that bill and a few others. Thanks, Universe!
