I’m glad you’re making these changes and seeing some good results in the way you feel. I am a gluten-free vegan now if you can imagine. It’s all because of my allergies and having to get them under control, I didn’t come to it for philosophy or animal rights reasons. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I have dropped 25 lbs and feel better than ever after the change. I know you’ve read Skinny Bitch, that’s pretty much working for me at this stage even though I didn’t start it for those reasons.
I know what you mean. Once you get in the habit of doing something healthy, what you consumed before does end up tasting bad. Like I would drink soda all the time, and then about a year ago I decided to drink water for a while (even if I used flavor packets), and drinking soda now is really hard (in cases where there’s nothing else to drink), and it’s amazing how harsh carbonation is. I like certain kinds of fruit (some I can’t eat for medical reasons), and I do enjoy yogurt. I don’t know if I could just eat fruit for breakfast and be satisfied, I do need my cereal.
